Do you still remember those childhood moments speeding through racetracks with Mario, charging into castles to rescue the princess, or breaking the silence of late nights as you fought your way toward becoming the greatest Pokémon trainer? Looking back on those video-game adventures, many of the iconic soundtracks were filled with resonances of jazz. Their rhythms, harmonies, and melodies became, perhaps unknowingly, some of our earliest encounters with jazz music.

The local jazz duo sideCHAIN teams up with a group of wonderful Hong Kong musicians to form the special, limited-time ensemble sideCHAIN Plus, inviting you to embark on this adventure once again. They will reinterpret a selection of beloved video game themes through jazz fusion, blending rock, blues, and ballad styles to take you back to the gaming moments of your childhood and rekindle the long-buried spirit of adventure within you.
